Frequently asked questions.

Do you allow pets?

We love your furry friends, but please do not bring your dogs or other pets to the farm. Service dogs are welcome.

What type of trees do you grow?

We grow Canaan Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, White Pine, Norway Spruce and Colorado Blue Spruce.

How do you price your trees?

All our farm-grown trees are the same price regardless of variety, size, or shape. Pre-cut tree prices vary depending on the tree and size.

What is the best way to keep a tree fresh?

Once you get your tree home, the best thing to do is give it a fresh cut if it's been more than a couple of hours since you harvested it. Starting with warm water in your stand will help to soften any sap that may clog the tree's uptake of water. Water daily and keep your tree away from any heat source. Also, running a humidifier is beneficial to the tree as well.

We hear Spruce trees aren't good Christmas Trees…

Spruce trees are beautiful Christmas trees with wonderfully heavy branches to hold ornaments. Spruce tree’s needles are attached differently to the branch than other Christmas trees, thus they don’t have the needle retention of firs and pines. We use Spruce in our own home, however, we would highly recommend purchasing for a display of less than three weeks. You must keep up with watering. Note that spruce needles are also very sharp and are great for deterring animals from playing in your tree.

How long does it take to grow a Christmas Tree?

The average tree takes 7-10 years once transplanted.

Do you have B&B Trees?

We do not have balled trees at this time. If there is enough interest, it may be something we consider in the future.
